Internal Protocol from Travel Round Wine face à COVID-19
Travel Round Wine is a travel and tourist entertainment agency, whose values are based on respect for others, the environment and the local ethnographic heritage and culture of the Portuguese people. Our client is for us the object of our work, in order to provide him well-being and satisfaction. That’s why the safety and well-being of our clients and collaborators are the values of Travel Round Wine, as well as the partners we work with.
Because we believe in trips and programs with safe and responsible partners, Travel Round Wine and its partners closely follow the guidelines issued by the Portuguese health authorities.
Faced with this health situation of COVID-19, which makes no distinction between those it reaches, we can only count on the collaboration of all in scrupulous compliance with the guidelines and protocols of the health authorities, so Travel Round Wine will do so, because we believe that our customers deserve to trust us now and in the future.
Below we list all the procedures we consider necessary for the preservation of our clients’ health and well-being.
1- Training, information and communication
– Travel Round Wine employees received training and the necessary information about their increased responsibilities. The hygiene and safety of their own and customers during this pandemic situation in which the country finds itself is a constant concern and the training received includes all the care;
– Travel Round Wine will give the necessary information to its clients. This protocol will be sent to you, right at the moment of your contact to pre-book one of the Travel Round Wine products you may choose;
– Travel Round Wine has also constituted a base of contacts that contains all those that are necessary, the partners with whom we have established partnerships, but also all the contacts of suppliers of social protection equipment, disinfection of vehicles, if necessary, since it is the competence of the partners of the vehicles to be used (however, we also have in our possession the internal procedures of these partners) and also the health authorities.
2- Basic prevention and control measures
For the employees the procedures are already properly defined:
Individual Procedures
Hand hygiene: wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer that contains at least 70% alcohol, covering all surfaces of the hands and rubbing them until dry.
Respiratory label: cough or sneeze into the flexed forearm, or use a tissue, which should then be immediately disposed of; always clean your hands after coughing or sneezing and after blowing; Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.
Social behaviour: change the way you come into contact with customers, avoiding all close contact, shaking hands, kissing and sharing food, utensils, glasses and towels.
Daily self-monitoring for fever assessment: measuring body temperature twice a day and recording the value and time of the measurement in a document created for this purpose or using what was done by the DGS. Check for cough or difficulty in breathing and, if necessary, contact the SNS 24 service and follow all the indications obtained.
Availability of personal protection equipment by TRW for employees
Travel Round Wine assures individual protection equipment in sufficient number for the worker involved in the clients transport activity in vehicles.
Masks – The use of masks during all activities is mandatory. The worker will change the mask preferably every 4 hours. In long services the mask change will be done during the service itself, preferably when taking the rest breaks at service stations or similar places on the road.
Gloves – The use of gloves during all activities related to driving and accompanying customers in vehicles is mandatory. The worker will change gloves between each change of task and whenever he leaves or enters the vehicle. Regardless of the type/duration of activities, the employee’s gloves will be exchanged whenever there is the minimum suspicion that the ones in use may present some degradation or minor safety guarantee.
Disinfectant Gel – The use of disinfectant gel by the worker during all activities is mandatory. The disinfectant gel must be used before the use of the gloves and whenever the worker changes gloves.
Travel Round Wine ensures personal protection equipment for customers and some safety procedures:
Social behavior: change the way you come into contact with customers, avoiding all close contact, shaking hands, kissing and sharing food, utensils, glasses and towels.

– Measurement of body temperature at the time of reception of the client and before his entry into the vehicle that will transport him to the chosen activity. If you give permission, the values indicated on the digital thermometer will be recorded.
– Disinfection of the soles of the shoes and disinfection of the hands before entering the car.
– At the time of the client’s reception, he will be given a Health Protection Kit that contains the amount of masks, individual disinfectant wipes and gloves necessary, according to the duration and the activity in which he will participate.
– Mask: The mask change should be done preferably every 4 hours or whenever the client wishes it.
– Gloves: Travel Round Wine will provide 1 pair of gloves per client at the beginning of each activity as already mentioned. Gloves should be changed whenever they present some kind of degradation and other situation that requires their replacement.
– Disinfectant Gel: The application of disinfectant gel on the hands by the customers at the beginning of each activity is mandatory as previously mentioned. However, whenever there is any exit and entry into the car where the client is this disinfection has to be done, as well as the disinfection of the soles of shoes or other contact situation that requires it.
Washing and Sanitizing
The washing of the clothes and accessories used by the employees is done in a washing machine with detergent and at a temperature of 60º, as well as the disinfection of the soles of their shoes, every time they get in and out of the car is also mandatory.
After each activity, disinfection and sanitization of the equipment and vehicles used is carried out, in accordance with the recommendations of the Directorate General of Health:
– Cleaning should be done in the direction of the cleanest area to the least clean area;
– Disinfectant spray should be used for cleaning all areas of frequent contact: door handles, glass drive buttons, armrests, belts, etc;
– Cleaning products should be of exclusive use for this purpose;
– The cleaning cloths used must be of single use or else use wet wipes with disinfectant to be put immediately in the garbage of the undifferentiated;
– The air in the vehicles is renewed through the opening of doors and windows to promote circulation and also when there are breaks for rest;
– In addition to disinfection between activities, there is also cleaning and disinfection whenever customers are outside the vehicle, through the use of disinfectant spray on all surfaces in frequent contact: door handles, glass actuation buttons, armrests, belts, etc., in accordance with the recommendations of the Directorate General of Health.
– Twice a day the vehicles are also disinfected on the outside, with complete washing and application of disinfectant spray. In this procedure the cleaning tasks inside are also performed as previously mentioned.
The Travel Round Wine employee is responsible for the management of the necessary stock inside the vehicle and also for the registration of the cleaning and sanitation tasks performed during the activity.
Carrying out this protocol, as well as our partners, we believe that we deserve the trust of our customers.
For the realization of any Travel Round Wine experience / program:
The client needs to present a negative test result to COVID-19, with documentation proving that the test was taken within the previous 72h. The negative test result is valid for 5 days following the test. Any result presented that does not comply with the timings indicated will not be considered by the Travel Round Wine team, preventing the realization of an experience or program.
The client will also be required to present a document proving that he has been vaccinated against COVID-19 for at least 14 days, if that is the case.
