Enogastronomy Course

A session dedicated to enogastronomy, where we will talk about the harmonious combination of wine and food.

In the course of enogastronomy, after a theoretical introduction, participants have access to a practical component in which they can explore different approaches in the connection of these two worlds.

A unique, informal and relaxed session, of sharing and learning, in the company of some old wines and exceptional dishes.

The training is carried out, generally, for groups and can happen, not only in the mentioned facilities, but also in companies, restaurants, hotels or other places that allow us to organize the course in due conditions.

Fortified Wines Course

A unique and unforgettable wine experience for an introduction to the world of fortified wines. Knowing how it is produced, what are its main characteristics or how to serve will be some issues addressed during these 4 hours of training, duly accompanied by blind tasting of fortified wine.

The training is carried out, generally, for groups and can happen not only in the mentioned facilities, but also in companies, restaurants, hotels or other places that allow us to organize the course in due conditions.

Sparkling Wine Course

Program:

2. What is Sparkling Wine: How is it produced? Types and Styles
3. Sparkling Wine in the World: Main regions and styles of sparkling wine in the World
4. Sparkling Wine at the Table: Temperatures, Glasses and Service
5. Blind Sparkling Tasting (Interval)
6. Sparkling wine pairing session with gastronomic products

Introduction to Sparkling Wine to be held at Algés com Sabores, from 5 pm to 9:30 pm, with a 10-minute break in the middle of the session.

It is a wine experience to introduce the World of Sparkling Wine. Knowing a little about its history, how it is done and what are its types and styles, getting to know the main sparkling wines in the world, and how to serve them will be some questions addressed during the 2h30 training, which ends with a wide range of blind tastings. The second part of the training will include a tasting of various gastronomic products, duly harmonized with sparkling wines.

The training is carried out, generally, for groups and can happen not only in the mentioned facilities but also in companies, restaurants, hotels or other places that allow us to organize the course in due conditions. In the end, each participant will be entitled to a certificate of attendance, which will later be sent by email.

Old Wine Course

A session dedicated to old wines, where we will talk about the life cycle of a wine and its evolution over time, storage conditions and the service of these wines that time makes even more special. The training ends with a tasting of 10 still wines, between white and red, which will pass through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s with wines from the main regions of Portugal.

A unique, informal and relaxed session, of sharing and learning, in the company of some old and rare wines.

The training is carried out, generally, for groups and can happen not only in the mentioned facilities, but also in companies, restaurants, hotels or other places that allow us to organize the course in due conditions.

Level I Wine Course

Program:
1. The Vine: The Origin of Wine - Vine, Grape, Soil, Climate, Grapes and Terroir
2. The Cellar: Where Wine is Made - Types and Styles of Wine, Production, Stage and Aging of Wine
3. The Tasting: Where wine is known - Sensory analysis and main characteristics
4. At the table: Where wine is celebrated - glasses, serving temperatures, accessories, private wine cellar and basic harmonization rules
5. Blind wine tasting: More than a dozen wines in the tasting, of different styles and regions.

Level I, in Algés com Sabores, from 3 pm to 9 pm, with a 10-minute break in the middle of the session.

It is a wine experience that initiated the World of Wine. Knowing how to make wine, what are its main characteristics, how to serve it and the main harmonization that can be made will be some issues addressed during the 6 hours of training that ends with a wide range of blind tastings.

The training is carried out, generally, for groups and can happen not only in the mentioned facilities but also in companies, restaurants, hotels or other places that allow us to organize the course in due conditions. In the end, each participant will be entitled to a certificate of attendance, which will later be sent by email.
