From Cartuxa to Monte in Arraiolos
This program can start at the Humberto Delgado – Lisbon airport, at the Hotel where the visitor is staying (whether or not is part of our network of partners) or at Algés com Sabores – Garrafeira e Gourmet, which is located in Algés, near Belém.
On the 1st day of your trip:
The traveler takes a guided tour to the centenary Carthusian cellar, located in Évora, which is surrounded by biologically cultivated vineyards and where wines as emblematic as Pera Manca were grown.
Finally, visitors have the possibility of tasting the Carthusian tasting, which includes a visit to the winery and tasting of 3 wines selected by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation (except Pera Manca White and Red – which can be tasted outside the scope of the guided visit to the winery, by glass) and also gastronomic accompaniment and olive oil tasting.
After the tasting, the visitor will travel to the city of Évora Cidade Património a UNESCO, where he will have lunch in a city restaurant with regional cuisine, wines from the region and others from other regions of the country.
In the afternoon
The visitor can do a TRW reconnaissance on foot or by car, as desired to the city, which has many points of cultural interest that may come to know as the Temple of Diana, Chapel of Bones and even the Cathedral of Évora.
At the end of the day, they go to the hotel where they have dinner at a restaurant that offers traditional Alentejo cuisine or other meals.
Afterwards they go to their accommodation where they will spend the night.
On the second day of the trip:
In the morning – breakfast at the hotel.
Afterwards you will go to Arraiolos, a village in Alentejo where since ancient times the main business card of Arraiolos is the rugs. Visitors will meet the city on foot or in the car of the Travel Round Wine. They also get to know the Arraiolos carpet interpreting center, where they get in touch with this art of carpeting.
Lunch in a city restaurant where traditional Portuguese cuisine, wines from the region and other regions of the country are practiced.
In the afternoon
Visitors taste wines at the traditional Alentejo hill, which has already dedicated itself in times past to breeding Lusitano thoroughbred horses, which is no longer the case today.
Currently the vineyard area, coexists with the cork oak and holm oak forests, agricultural area and pine trees.
In this mount the visitors have a guided tour to the hitching museum, the vineyards, cellar and basement with premium tasting.
The journey from the winery to the place of departure of the mountain, for those who have difficulties in walking should be made by car of Travel Round Wine.
After the view to the hill, the visitors will return to Lisbon, the place from where they left.
