The wines from Torres Vedras have had their appellation of controlled origin for about 30 years, however, they are wines that can age and that acquire with aging a notorious quality, as long as they are properly stored and packaged.

After all, already at the time of the French invasions several references to the quality of Torres Vedras wine appeared.
Remember that Torres Vedras and Alenquer were European wine cities in 2018.

The winery where this workshop is inserted, is a winery of contemporary architecture – architect Aires Mateus, integrated in the wine region of Lisbon, produces wines of Atlantic character.

In this workshop visitors take a tour of the winery to frame the winemaking processes and how these processes have an impact on the final result: the wine.

Then they are taken to the senses room – Laboratory to start creating their own wine. Knowing and tasting some single varietal wines from the winery and understanding their own characteristics, the visitor goes on testing/proving the different combinations and with the help of the sommelier, he arrives at the wine he wants.
When it reaches the desired result, the single varietal blend is executed, to fill the bottle and develop its own personalized label.

The groups are divided into 6 or 8 people.

Lunch takes place in a traditional Portuguese cuisine restaurant in the area, accompanied by wines from the region and the rest of the country.

In the afternoon

Visitors will go to the interpretation center of the Lines of Torres Vedras, where they can enjoy a pedagogical approach and promote knowledge of the historical importance of the Lines of Torres.
